Franck Muller has introduced a new tourbillon watch, the “Grand Central Tourbillon,” featuring a unique central tourbillon structure that makes the slowly rotating tourbillon the visual centerpiece of the dial. The Cintrée Curvex barrel-shaped case has been redesigned with sleek and flowing lines that extend from the top to the bottom of the case, enhancing the spaciousness of the dial. Crafted from carbon fiber, the case exhibits a delicate texture with black and gray stripes, creating a subtle yet elegant and abstract aesthetic.
The lacquered dial is adorned with oversized Arabic numeral hour markers, and a sunburst guilloché pattern radiates outward from the center, echoing the rotation of the tourbillon. Due to the tourbillon occupying the central position of the dial, the gear train for the hands has been modified accordingly, with the hands mounted on the edge of the tourbillon, giving the appearance of floating above the dial.
The watch is powered by the in-house FM CX 40T-CTR automatic winding movement, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and providing a power reserve of up to 4 days. It comes with a fluororubber-lined nylon strap and a newly designed brushed-finish folding clasp specific to this model.
