Richard Mille revisits the legendary RM012 movement, merging material innovations with watchmaking architecture. The RM12-01 Tourbillon is a unique timepiece that showcases cutting-edge technology and design, exclusively available in limited editions at select boutiques in the Americas.
The RM12-01 Tourbillon features a case structure built around the three-way principle, integrating all components seamlessly. The design of the movement’s lines is inspired by architectural structures, with its tubular inclined construction offering optimal rigidity, torsional strength, excellent heat resistance, and corrosion resistance. The baseplate’s function is uniquely integrated with the movement and bridges, forming a coherent technical and visually inseparable whole.
The movement is finished with a perfect combination of polishing, satin finishing, circular finishing, and high polish, proudly displayed through the transparent caseback. The integrated baseplate is inspired by racing car chassis, enhancing rigidity and shock resistance. The sharp, streamlined curves surrounding the mainspring barrel, large wheels, and tourbillon bridges extend to the manual winding movement’s end, making the design truly distinctive.
Limited Edition RM12-01 is available in Black Carbon TPT, Red Quartz TPT, and White Quartz TPT.
