The 330SC is a new generation movement, representing a major technical breakthrough for PPF, and serves as an upgraded version of the 324 movement.

1. Integrated Components: In the new 330 movement, Patek Philippe has integrated all components into a single module, upgrading parts such as the balance wheel, gears, and hairspring. The craftsmanship on the plates is exceptional, with all fonts laser-engraved. The plates feature Geneva stripes and perlage decorations, enhancing the overall aesthetic and sense of luxury.
2. Automatic Rotor Update: The automatic rotor of the 330 movement has been refined, with the rotor blade angle modified to a more rounded crescent shape. Additionally, the central axis locking mechanism of the rotor now includes a ruby bearing (which is safer compared to the previous screw mechanism).
3. Transmission Wheel Enhancement: A key technical improvement in the 330 movement is the addition of a functional transmission wheel. The previous decorative silver wheel has been replaced with a real gold wheel, forming a perfect 4-stage acceleration system. This system stabilizes torque during the gradual acceleration from the mainspring, through the third wheel, fourth wheel, and escape wheel, enhancing power transmission efficiency and preventing the second hand from “jittering.”
4. Hacking Mechanism: The most significant addition to the 330 movement is the hacking mechanism. It uses a traditional mechanism that stops the balance wheel when the crown is pulled out. When the crown is pushed back in, a slight pulse is generated to help restart the escapement module.
