The new bezel and caseback are crafted from pink and white quartz carbon fibre composite, while the middle case is made from carbon fibre and pink quartz carbon fibre, each with a unique interlocking texture. The stepped barrel-shaped case allows for a more comfortable and close fit on the wrist, and the top of the crown cleverly mimics the dimpled shape of a golf ball, a rather interesting detail.
The fully open dial allows the wearer to see the movement in its entirety, with openworked bridges tracing a horizontal ‘V’ in the dial and pink hand-painted motifs from the club heads of Bubba Watson’s clubs. The 6-point tourbillon structure is capable of withstanding 10,000g of impact, allowing the professional golfer to hit the ball at high speeds with stability.
The calibre RM 38-02 is a hand-wound movement with an oscillating frequency of 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 52 hours. The movement has a skeletonised carbon fibre baseplate for superior shock resistance. The bridges are still made of sturdy grade 5 titanium and the apertures on the back are decorated with pink elements.
